Prior to heading off to Thailand, I didn’t know the difference between good and bad Thai food. Every Thai restaurant seemed the same and I enjoyed all Thai dishes that I ordered. Now that I am back in the states after nine months immersed in Thai culture and eating authentic Thai cuisine, I have a much different opinion! There are some restaurants in my area that are fantastic and exceed my expectations of what Thai food should taste like. Unfortunately, there are also many restaurants that fall short. This page is dedicated to providing reviews of my favorite (and not so favorite) restaurants in the area and hopefully around the states.
Additionally, as a Thai cook, I am always looking for the best Thai ingredients I can find. In the states, it can often be difficult to find fresh, authentic, and delicious ingredients … so, I have made it my mission to find the perfect ingredients for every dish. I will be posting reviews of the Asian markets in my area (and around the states). Where can you find the freshest Thai eggplant? Where can you get the best deal on palm sugar? Where can you find the mysterious unripened papaya? Hopefully through these reviews, you’ll be able to get your hands on the best ingredients for the best deal.
